IE and Firefox warning error: it appears that you are about to access a website that has non-standard web address format
If you are getting the following pop-up warning message in your browser, you might want to be more caution on visiting the target site.
Warning! It appears that you are about to access a website that has non-standard web address format. Such sites may contain harmful entities such as viruses. We recommend you use extreme caution. Please change your preferences if you do not want to see this message again.
Email the target site that their site is getting this warning message. This can be caused by bad coding on their page.
To disable the warning message, go to your browser preferences and change it.
* This only seems to be a Yahoo Mail and Hotmail issue. Gmail doesn’t have this issue.
The problem here is that there are IP address for URL links. Yahoo Mail and Hotmail do not like IP address in the URL. Use DNS names instead. Otherwise, Yahoo and Hotmail will flag the link as it is from a Spammer.
