MAPI Call Failed. Error ‘An unexpected error has occurred.’
Today, we have experienced an issue with our Blackberry Server. Every time when we try to activate a Blackberry device we are seeing the following error on the MAGT log file.

[40720] (03/07 16:18:17.593):{0x1BB8} MAPI call failed. Error ‘An unexpected error has occurred.’, LowLevelError 0, Component ‘MAPI 1.0′, Context 644
[20154] (03/07 16:18:17.594):{0x1BB8} User Jsmith not started
The activation will time out on the Blackberry device and gives you a server connection error.
Searching through the web, we found that this is an known issue with Blackberry that is running in the following environment.
– BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Microsoft® Exchange 5.0 to 5.0 SP2
– Windows Server 2008
