Task Manager Is Disabled
Today, one of our computer was infested with a malware which has disabled the computer’s Task Manager program so that its program(s) can not be killed. The malware has modified the computer’s registry and added a ‘DisableTaskMgr‘ key into it. This key is to disable the Task Manager program from your computer. Even if the computer is booted under Safe mode, the Task Manager option will still be disabled. The solution is to delete this key.
To delete this key, you will need to go to the following location in your registry.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies\ System
Delete the ‘DisableTaskMgr‘ key
