In Vista and Windows 7, there is a compatibility mode. With this mode on, it enables Vista or Windows 7 to run older programs that used to be working in Windows XP/2000/95.
Follow the steps below to setup compatibility mode for an application
1. Right-click on the application (Usually the .exe file)
2. Choose “Properties”
3. Select the “Compatibility” tab
4. Check the “Run this program in compatibility mode for:”
5. Choose an OS. E.g. Windows XP
*6. You might need to also select the “Run this program as an adminstrator”. Some older programs won’t work without this.
